Re. Arson at Toronto Buddhist Temple

For the second time there has been arson against Toronto Maha Vihara (Buddhist Temple) in Scarborough, Ontario. This temple is a landmark of Toronto and contains true architectural heritage of Sri Lankan culture and Buddhism and linked to all Sri Lankans living in Toronto as their main cultural centre.

First arson against Toronto Maha Vihara took place on May 2009 just after the death of Tamil Tiger terrorist leader in Sri Lanka and this second arson took place on 27th November 2009 while Toronto Tamil Tiger supporters are celebrating Tamil Tiger terrorist leader’s birthday.

We the members of Sri Lankan Canadians Against Terrorism requesting Canadian Security agencies to take special measures to investigate this incident as a “hate crime” against Sri Lankan community because of the above reasons.

There have been several hate crimes against Canadian Sri Lankan community by Tamil Tiger supporters in the past year, but none of those crimes were investigated to the level of arresting the perpetrators. We urge Canadian Security agencies not to allow this investigation go in vain as there are hundreds of well trained hardcore Tamil Tigers terrorists have entered to Canada using generous Canadian immigration laws and will definitely be a threat to Canadian security in the future.

We the members of Sri Lankan Canadians Against Terrorism do not want to see Canada as an another victim of Tamil Tiger Terrorism.

Another ship arrived in Vancouver on October 17th 2009, with 76 Tamils claiming that they are coming from former war ravaged areas of Sri Lanka. A similar ship was captured by Indonesian Authorities on its way to Australia. There could be more ships heading our way originated from different locations claiming that they are coming from Sri Lanka.
According to information coming from Indonesia; authorities have already captured two (2) people who were connected to smuggling campaign and we urge Canadian Authorities to do the same. Indonesian authorities were also found out that the Australia bound ship was carrying Tamils, who were not originated their sea journey from Sri Lanka.
We, the members of Sri Lankan Canadians Against Terrorism (SLCAT) are requesting media and other organizations to be vigilant and look for the culprits behind these human smuggling campaign instead of finding another way to tarnish the image of Sri Lanka and her people.
Also we like to point out that there were some organizations based in Toronto which were preparing for this shipload of people, before even authorities were aware of its arrival into Canadian waters. We request Canadian authorities to inquire in to these organizations and find out what they knew about this ship, before it arrived in here; and what support they have given to these human smugglers to bring this ship in to Canadian waters.
Our concerns are the negative influence, that will affect the Canadian society and the damage it will result by suspected trained terrorists and killers reaching Canada under the disguise of reaching out to Canada as refugees/asylum seekers as done by these 76 seafarers supported by the human trafficking master minds of the banned LTTE and the so-called Tamil Community groups in Canada who are LTTE front operator organizations. Canada should prevent our next generation Tamils from the influence of such elements now.

We thank to all Canadian Security intelligence officers who work hard to take down almost all LTTE “Suicide bombers day” events in Greater Toronto area through out November 2008. Their dedication and hard work energize us, those who silently fighting against LTTE terrorists who are trying to intimidate and use our Sri Lankan Diaspora in Canada to collect funds for their terrorist activities in Sri Lanka.

We expect to carry on this great co-operation with Canadian security intelligence agencies until all forms of LTTE terrorism destroyed from these great nations of Canada and Sri Lanka.

How Mr. Mano Ganeshan fits in LTTE agenda and his Canadian Tour

-Forum of Canadian Sri Lankans against Terrorism-

The meetings Mr. Mano Ganeshan came to attend in Toronto was a meeting which was well planned and courier graphed by LTTE fronts in Toronto according to the orders of Wanni to make a big noise about IDPs in Wanni. Their plan in India may have some success due to racist Tamil political parties in Tamilnadu; but rest of the world is not.

Their plan in Canada was to take the news to mainstream Canadians and make a big uproar about IDPs in the Wanni and make it an international issue. In order to fulfill that endeavor LTTE fronts in Toronto open a website www.tamilidpcrises.org and declare an awareness week from November 2 to November 9^th. Part of this program was to talk to Canadians and Canadian Lawmakers. In Toronto, Canadian Tamil Congress with the help of close Liberal MPs in the area held several community meeting to make awareness about IDPs in Wanni. As usual lots of lies about Sri Lanka were distributed in these meetings and behind the scene of these so called “awareness meetings” fundraising went on very well. A newly Formed NGO (Children Aid Rehabilitation and Education Program (CareProgram) and Canadian Humanitarian Appeal for the Relief of Tamils (CanadianHART) both LTTE fronts collecting these money and no one knows where these money going to. At the end of the week a big demonstration was held in the middle of the Toronto City (Dundas Squre).

Also as a part of awareness week a group of Canadian Tamil Congress (another LTTE front) members went to meet some government and Opposition MPs in Ottawa and tried to make them believe there is a huge IDP crisis in Wanni.

LTTE also wanted to bring down some TNA MPs to Toronto and talk to local MPs in order to add some truth to it. Unfortunately Canadian High Commission in Colombo does not issue Visas to TNA MPs any more. So there is a choice of UNP MP Mr. Jayalath Jayawardane, Muslim Congress Leader or our friend Mr. Mano Ganeshan. Dr. Jayalat already had hard time in SL media on his recent LTTE savior tour in Europe. Muslim congress leader have some pressure from Toronto Muslim activists not to attend LTTE events in Toronto. So the easiest choice is Mr. Ganeshan. Also this is the same group who tried to bring Dr. Wickramabahu Karunaratne a few months ago.

The meeting in Toronto “Tamil region of Vanni Under siege”, none other than a LTTE slogan organized by “The Canadian Forum for justice and Peace in Sri Lanka” is another front used by LTTE propaganda unit. Mr. Sellathurai Loganathan the convener of the meeting was once a JVP activist and even married to a Sinhala lady. Is a person with an attitude of controlling everything which he couldn’t do during his time with anti LTTE Tamils in Toronto? Then he switch the side. He is well affiliated with Prof. R. Cheran and work very closely with him. As we know Prof. Cheran is the new adviser to LTTE leader. But as LTTE is banned in Canada he cannot claim it. If he claims he has to leave Canada therefore he work behind the scene with the help of this Loga and other propaganda activists. While Prof. Cheran was in Sri Lanka LTTE leader hold a party for Cheran and ask him to help to clear LTTE image around the world. Once very active anti LTTE Cheran changed the sides Loganathan also joined the wagon just after that. He also has lots of Sinhala media friends and one of them is Sunanda Deshapriya. One time Cheran was the editor of “Sarinihar” the sister paper of “Yukthiya” funded by NGOs in Sri Lanka.

Until Loganathan switch the side one of his best friends in Toronto was Amity Jinadasa (Actor/Politician). Even when prominent Sinhala dramatist Mr. Parakrama Niriella was in Toronto few years ago Loga was the one who took him around. Therefore Loganathan is an excellent front for LTTE.

Due to these reasons we were very vigilant about Mr. Ganeshan’s tour in Toronto and we were closely watching him day and night even our members were attended to those places MR. Ganeshan went and got drunk with LTTE activists in Toronto. Therefore Mr. Ganeshan cannot hide under in his usual “human rights” shell in this time.

The day Mr. Ganeshan was planning to talk at the University of Oshuwa he may had talk with Canadian officials in Ottawa but he was planning to attend the University of Oshuwa meeting at the evening. Because University is situated on the way to Ottawa and the meeting was suppose to be held at 4 to 8pm. Due to prompt actions of our members we managed to inform Osuwa University officials about this meeting and they took immediate action to close down the meeting but another LTTE front man in Toronto, Garry Sangari’s wife who work at the University managed to influence the officials to hold a low profile meeting under the watch full eyes of Canadian Intelligence authorities and University security officials.

This is the reason Mr. Ganeshan didn’t attend University meeting. His sponsors may have arranged another quick meeting with NDP MP for the evening, who has his office in the same block. These MPs are very easy to meet and especially a leftwing MP like Hon. Wayne Marston.

We know Mr. Ganeshan was very keen on hiding his LTTE stripes during his Canadian tour. But this time Mr. Ganeshan failed. So don’t try to hide under your human rights shell this time Mr. Ganeshan.
